About the Trusts
Rogers and Bell is involved in the management of thirteen charitable trusts, created by the family of James A. Chapman. All trusts are supporting organizations for named public charities. As a result, we do not accept unsolicited grant requests from organizations that are not one of the named beneficiaries of the Trusts. The beneficiaries of these trusts are leading educational, healthcare, social service and religious organizations in Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas.
The J. A. Chapman and Leta M. Chapman Trust was created in 1949 as an inter vivos trust by James A. Chapman and his wife, Leta M. Chapman. Bank of Oklahoma, N.A. is the corporate trustee and Sharon J. Bell is the individual trustee. The beneficiaries of this trust are:

The Ida M. McFarlin Memorial Trust was created in 1951 as an inter vivos trust by James A. Chapman and Leta M. Chapman. The trust is named in memory of Mrs. Chapman's mother, Ida M. McFarlin. Bank of Oklahoma, N.A. is corporate trustee and Sharon J. Bell is individual trustee. The four Tulsa, Oklahoma based beneficiaries of this trust are:

The James A. Chapman Endowment Trust is a single beneficiary inter vivos trust created in 1966 by Pauline C. Walter in memory of her late brother-in-law. Bank of Oklahoma, N.A. is the corporate trustee and there is no named individual trustee. St. Simeons Episcopal Home of Tulsa, Oklahoma, is the beneficiary of this trust.
R. M. and Ida McFarlin Memorial Trust is an inter vivos trust created in 1967 by Leta M. Chapman and Pauline C. Walter in memory of their parents. The sole beneficiary of this trust is Southern Methodist University , Dallas, Texas. The trust is to be used to support the maintenance of McFarlin Auditorium.
